Happy new year everybody. I hope u all entered 2009 in style, unlike me where it was a disaster because of my illness.
Other than that things are good.
Currently deposited £5 on willhill and my challenge is to build that up to 3 figures.
How long it will take ? i don't know
Also one of my new year resolution is to never deposit again. So this year i hope to build a steady and more solid bankroll.

In Texas Hold'em you get two cards "private" cards that the other players can not see. Then five cards are dealt face up successively on the table. These are community cards that all players can use to form a five card hand.
To form the best possible hand you can use your two hole cards and three community cards, or a private card and four community cards, or just the five community cards.
The player who manages to be the highest hand wins the pot.

Texas Hold'em is played with blinds. Before the cards are dealt, the first two players to the left of the dealer pay respectively a small and a big blind to create a starting pot.

When the blinds have been posted, each player receives two cards face down, the hole cards.
Then the first betting round takes place, started by the player to the left of the big blind.
When the first betting round is completed, three cards are dealt face up on the table. This is called "the poker flop".
Then the second betting round takes place, starting with the first player to the left of the dealer who is still in the game
Turning (Fourth Street)
After the second betting round, the fourth community card is dealt. This is called the turn.
The third betting round takes place, starting with the first player to the left of the dealer who is still in the poker game
River (Fifth Street)
The fifth and final community card is called the river. The game is now concluded by the fourth and final betting round, again starting with the first player to the left of the dealer who is still in the game
If more than one poker player remains in the game after the betting, there are slaughter.
Game Tips for Texas Hold'em Poker
Play good starting hands
Do not enter the auction with any private cards! With ten players at the table, someone will have a better starting hand for most of the time. When you enter the game with the second best hand, your opponent is favorite to win the pot.
The importance of the position
In Texas Hold'em Poker, your position is the same throughout the hand. A player who comes after you will be after you to the river. This is to your disadvantage. Generally only play strong hands if you are positioned at the beginning. On the other hand, when you are positioned at the end, you can use this disadvantage.
