HI EVERYBODY!!!

Considering how loyal my readers have been i think i owe an explanation of what i have been doing all this time...

As far as poker goes i have not spent nowhere near as much as i was spending time wise. ?I had the odd casual game but nothing special apart from switching 300 dollars into 2000 at fulltilt in one short session.

After the big bankroll build i had lost sense in value and it took time for me to readjust to smaller stakes. I think i am back to playing my A game at .25/.50 HU so i will update you guys more often.

Also last week i managed to switch 200 dollars into 900 but didn't think i was gonna commit myself to building again so i cashed it all out.

Sure there have also been times where i lost a few sessions costing me around £1K straight after my big cashout.

Currently i deposited 40 quid into Royalfire and i am now at 88 pounds. I will give regular updates but not sure how long it will take to build into 4 digit even 5 digit roll. Not in a rush either.

But thank you again for coming back to the blog to check it out.

Roll is now at £88 quid :-)

The Story Begins Like This.....

RoyalFire Account was finally rewarded with 480 quid rakeback, which meant that i had a good starting point to my build a bankroll challenge for this month. Well at least in theory. The muppet that i am though, i managed to go through all of it in a relatively short time.

Was i unlucky? NO! i played like a complete umpty at limits no higher than $.5/$1 (heads up)and manage to dump it all on hands thats not even worth mentioning.

Then gave a break for a short period and revived "Callpls" account. Fortunately with a little respect to the game and a little luck behind managed to morph 160 quid into 520 quid.

So the decision is made and Callpls will try to be the hero on this months journey. Will it be a quick one? boring one? or exciting one like last month? only time will tell.

Currently the plan is to play $.5/$1 heads up until i drop down to $500 or build enough for me to take shots at $1/$2 (1800-$2000 should be enough )

Also i will try to keep the bankroll monster under control and try to tilt less. (was also one of the goals from may)

So the roll is now at 520 quid...

END OF HEATER END OF BLOG!!!!!!

Hi guys, Thanx alot for following the blog whilst i had this nice journey. I have decided to end it here as i encountered my first losing session for a while. I didn't go busto but took a serious damage. Lost around £6K and decided to cash out the rest.

This adventure has served me well and i have made £11K in such a short peroid of time. So i am very happy. I am also expecting a good rakeback. Not sure if i will continue or cash it out immediately.

I didn't have the patience and made a silly move by playing whilst drunk. And penalised my self by cashing out the remainder.

The bankroll is on £0

Luck vs Skill

Following the recent success path i am on, few questions have been raised on the topic by my friends, Naturally they are puzzled by the exponential growth of the roll, and have asked me to come up with a logical explanation of how this sick heater could be anything but pure hard luck!

I haven't played enough days to complete a nice sample of data for statistical analysis, nor do i use Poker Tracker to gather that sort of info. ( although i am seriously thinking about it.)

So is it intuitive? lucky or else.. I have mentioned at the beginning of the blog that i would set up objectives on how i plan to grow my roll. Unfortunately i have never got down to document it as such, but rest assured i had the basics of what i wanted to do subconsciously. I say subconsciously because i have been playing this game for a long time without the BRM. I have read tons of books. articles and various blogs. I have tried to prove the odds of starting hand success vs each other along with other experiments to make me believe that this is nothing other than statistical game. And thats what poker is.

For long time I have played under rolled and it meant that my chips would eventually vanish in to air due to hitting negative side of swings and never be able to recover.

Things are a little different now. I am comfortably cushioned for about 50+ buyins at $2/5 around 120+ buyins at $1/2 and over rolled for lower levels . And the comfort zone means i can play with piece of mind which is very important and lets me concentrate purely on the game rather tan having to think about the financial side of things until cash out.

So was i lucky so far ? Yes i was lucky to hit a sick heater to reach the point i am at in such a short period. But i believe the skill part of my game now has been re-inforced by the stack ive accumulated and it means correct decisions will pay in the long run regardless of swings. (provided i don't go over budget and take shots at levels where i have few buy-ins)

My game is on the edge with 20 buyins at any level, and as that number increases i believe my style gets comfortable and results become visible. I don't multitable. I play maximum of 2 HU tables, and i fully concentrate on the game. I play for stacks rather than BB/100.

The game is a luck game in the short run but as the number of games increases the luck factor decreases and the results are reflected on the bankroll.

Yesterdays profit: 848 pounds,

The roll now stands at 14,597 pounds

The lucky streak continues....
